OK, so never look at your dials at an extreme closeup view.
I'm guessing this is about 30x - 40x the normal size, again depending
on your monitor resolution and dpi.
As you'll be able to see in later photos, to the naked eye this is
doesn't look horrible at all. Moral of the story - don't look at
extreme closeups of anything and expect to have your illusions
preserved.
